Lake Jackson council names new and reappointed members to boards and commissions

Parks & Recreation vacancies were filled with Lance Alashofsky and Kelly Walthdal; Keep Lake Jackson Beautiful appointments included April Allen and Lynette Brooks. The library board appointments named Brent Cooper and Desiree Valadez.
The council first voted to approve reappointments as a slate and then read individual names for the 2026 appointments. The chair asked staff to handle posting and paperwork; councilors confirmed meeting schedules and liaison assignments for each board. The motions to appoint and reappoint the slate carried in open session.
