City staff updates: strategic plan revisions, business openings and development notes
Summary

Staff also noted local business activity: a recently opened convenience store, a new restaurant (7 Brew) that may expand, and preliminary plans for a Chipotle at a site currently occupied by a Red Lobster building that is expected to be removed. Staff cautioned that some items are still at the concept stage and formal plans will be submitted for review before council action.
The updates were delivered in a short staff-report segment and drew light commentary from council; no formal action was requested.
