Council adopts FY2026'27 goals to guide upcoming budget

City staff presented the proposed goals and objectives to guide La Habra's fiscal year 2026'27 budget process, noting that the recommendations are general in nature and are intended to inform the upcoming budget decisions.
Bree, the staff presenter, told council that two objectives from the prior fiscal year had been completed (establishing a resident civics academy now called La Habra 101 and development of Vince Scully Centennial Park) and that there were no new goals proposed for 2026'7. "While approval of the goals and objectives this evening has no direct fiscal impact, they do assist staff in development of spending priorities during the preparation of the budget," Bree said.
Councilmember (motion) moved and council seconded; the goals were adopted on a unanimous vote. Staff will use the adopted goals in developing the city manager's proposed budget for presentation in June.
