Senior planner Ash Saeed told the commission the building department and fire had reviewed the plans and that plan check would address outstanding exit issues: “These plans have been reviewed by the building officials. So and, otherwise, we wouldn't really be here,” Saeed said. Commissioners asked staff to retain a condition in the resolution that ensures building‑code compliance is confirmed through plan check prior to final approval.
