Johnson County authorizes submission of Opportunity Zone 2.0 nominations; court asks staff to coordinate with Cleburne

"When you have major investors that are looking at the area, there's some tax advantages for those major investors," Jerry Cash (Cleburne EDC) told the court. Joe Fackl (Cleburne economic development) added that the county needs to submit a ranked priority list to the governor's office by the end of the week. The court voted to authorize the judge to submit nominations for the identified eligible tracts and directed staff to coordinate with city partners on priority ranking; the motion carried unanimously.
