The steering committee voted on May 13 to outsource program management and the master project website for Rethink Folly Road to the regional Council of Governments (COG). The chair moved the item, a member seconded, and the committee approved the change by voice vote.
Chair Leslie Skarden framed the decision as both an administrative and fiscal efficiency: "We saved everyone about $80,000," she said during the meeting. Under the COG arrangement, staff will prepare agendas and minutes, post recordings and transcripts, publish meeting packets two weeks in advance, maintain sign-in and public-comment templates, and manage calendar invites and public notifications.
Committee members said the COG-hosted resource will create a single source of truth for project documents and maps; staff also described templates and a schedule intended to improve follow-up on assigned tasks. The committee directed the COG and chair to begin implementation and to present finalized processes and access links at the next meeting.
