Nsight files local letters of support as towns prepare municipal approvals

TEDCOR Executive Director Jayme Sellen said she sent draft letters of support to the towns of Little Suamico and Chase for Nsight, which plans to extend fiber in that area without requesting state or local grant funds. Dennis Kroll said the Town of Chase has Nsight’s letter of support on its upcoming Town Board agenda.
Sellen described the process: once a local municipality indicates it intends to support an ISP, it places the letter on its meeting agenda and then sends the minutes noting approval along with the signed letter back to the ISP. Sellen said she will provide additional letters to municipalities when other ISPs indicate intentions to serve areas in the county.
The Taskforce did not take formal action on the draft letters during the Jan. 9 meeting; local municipal approvals will proceed through each town’s board process.
