Court adopts multiple proclamations honoring child protective staff, law-enforcement week, search-and-rescue, facilities and nurses

The court adopted a slate of proclamations recognizing service and observances across county programs. Among them, the court proclaimed outstanding awardees selected by the Hays County Child Protective Board; adopted Police Week and Peace Officer Memorial Day proclamations noting seven Hays County line-of-duty deaths referenced in the proclamation text; recognized Search and Rescue Week and heard testimony from Texar/Texas Search and Rescue volunteers and a survivor who described being rescued during a flood; proclaimed World Facility Management Day to honor county facilities staff; adopted National Nurses Week in recognition of nurses and Hays County health-department staffing; and recognized Older Americans Month and speakers from CAPCOG's Aging Advisory Council and local senior-center leaders.
Treasurer and health-department and other staff and community leaders accepted proclamations and the court called for photos and additional recognition. The proclamations were adopted by voice/roll call and are part of the meeting record.
