Residents urge narrower Darden Hill Road plan, updated traffic and noise studies

Lindsey Muse and Linda Castello said they represent 535 residents aligned with savedardenhill.com and asked the county to implement a super‑2 design with pedestrian and bicycle accommodations rather than a 160–200 foot right‑of‑way and a four‑lane divided highway. Castello referred to a Hays County schematic dated 02/08/2021 for an RM 150 expansion showing rights of way of 160–200 feet, which she warned would dramatically affect property owners and conflict with nearby schools. Speakers requested an updated traffic‑impact study and a noise study and recommended a 35 mph limit in residential school areas like Sawyer Ranch Road.
