Several supervisors used the meeting to give committee updates and raise procedural items.
Supv Eggen thanked Administrative Coordinator Hanan for her work and recognized Emergency Management Director Larson; he said the Health Department reported an increase in influenza and that the coroner reported 21 deaths in November. The ADRC reported it will end the year with just under 40,000 meals served. Supv Strudthoff asked Corp Counsel to investigate ways to ensure a safe environment for the board to do its job. Supv Kilmer updated the board on oversight of the Western Wisconsin Workforce Development Board (WWWDB), reporting that a new fiscal agent has been secured and that work to straighten out the books continues.
These remarks were informational; the board did not take formal action on the health, safety or WWWDB updates during this meeting.
