Administrative Coordinator Hanan presented a year-in-review and several operational updates to the board.
Hanan told supervisors the planning commission application deadline is imminent, confirmed that tax bills have been mailed after completing apportionment and levy-limit forms with a cross-check by the county clerk, and said SEH, Inc. is close to submitting an addendum to the DNR concerning the landfill expansion. Hanan announced that the county is preparing to go live with a new HRS system for time and attendance, acknowledged that transition challenges are possible and said, "Hanan expects all staff to treat each other with respect. Anything less will not be tolerated." Hanan also reviewed updated policies and ordinances, 2026 long-range-plan goals and department goals and wished the board a Merry Christmas.
Hanan noted several recent retirements in the Sheriff’s Office; the minutes record a retirement party planned for Officer Jason Crume, who has served 37 years.
