Council approves fee-in-lieu ordinance second reading and two resolutions; motions carry

At the Feb. 10 meeting the Barnwell County Council approved several formal actions by motion with no recorded debate. Councilman Harold Buckmon moved to accept the second reading by title only of an ordinance authorizing a fee-in-lieu of ad valorem taxes and incentive agreement with Project Green and Red; Councilman Travis Hooper seconded and the motion carried.
The council also passed a resolution authorizing participation in the South Carolina Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity Program; the minutes note "There is no cost for the program." Separately, the council approved a resolution to amend the Amended and Restated Master Agreement for the Quad-County Industrial Park. All motions were recorded in the minutes as carried; no roll-call vote tallies were provided.
