Vernon County allocates $413,500 in Ho-Chunk funds to local projects, including Elevate Vernon small-business support

Notable allocations include $150,000 for an Elevate Vernon small-business support program, $63,590 for Information Technology core switches, $45,000 for two highway message boards, $23,400 for sheriff’s office AEDs, $19,500 to rebind 13 Register of Deeds books, and $20,000 and $25,000 for direct payments to producers and a Conservation Partners Grant through Land & Water Conservation.
The Board also adopted Resolution 2026‑13 authorizing appropriation of $10,000 in non-lapsing LWCD funds to supplement a proposed cost-share program for perennial contour strips, contingent upon receiving Ho-Chunk funding.
