County staff report RFP for Corp Counsel, proposed moratorium on data centers, and NRCS funding for dam decommissioning designs

Interim Administrative Coordinator Trisha Lepke reported an RFP for Corp Counsel (closing May 29), IT work on a county intranet, newly installed exterior signage, zoning work with towns to implement a moratorium on data centers and develop a county zoning ordinance, Land & Water NRCS funding for dam decommissioning design, and a July 1 release date for the 2025 audit.
Interim Administrative Coordinator Trisha Lepke updated the board on multiple administrative and planning items during the May 21 meeting.
Le pke reported an RFP for Corp Counsel has been posted and will close on May 29; IT staff are developing a countywide intranet and new exterior signage has been installed. Zoning staff are working with local towns to implement a moratorium on data centers and are gathering data to develop a county zoning ordinance. Land & Water has received Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) funding for design work on dam decommissioning. The 2025 audit was reported to be available on July 1.
Several of these items — notably the RFP and the request by a supervisor to discuss Corp Counsel attendance at GenGov — will be the subject of further board action or discussion at upcoming meetings.
