EDC approves CIP procedure manual changes, appoints contract subcommittee and hires litigation counsel

Following executive session, the board voted to engage Hyde Kelly LLP as litigation counsel in Midway Development Group LLC v. Hutto EDC and to authorize the chair to execute the engagement agreement. The board also appointed a contract subcommittee (Board members Snyder, Porterfield and Morris) to develop a standard contract form for HEDC construction projects and authorized staff to negotiate offers on properties discussed in executive session; all motions passed 5–0.
