The Huber Heights Planning Commission opened its Jan. 8 meeting with officer elections and a ceremonial oath for any witnesses who would testify later in the agenda. The commission elected Terry Walton as chair and Jan Vargo as vice chair; the vice-chair nomination passed by a 4–0 vote.
Chair Walton welcomed attendees to the newly opened governance center and asked anyone planning to testify on agenda items to stand and be sworn. The commission then moved into substantive business, starting with a minor change request for a parking-lot expansion and later considering a Basic Development Plan for a Kwik Trip store and fueling facility.
