Glenn Heights council appoints HFC directors and approves $270,819 donation transfer

At its May 19 meeting, the Glenn Heights City Council voted 6-0 to appoint council members and the mayor as directors of the Glenn Heights Housing Finance Corporation and to approve related HFC officer assignments.
Mayor Sonya A. Brown moved the appointments and the council approved resolution R-20-26 naming Sharron Moseley, Shontay Allen, Travis Bruton (mayor pro tem), Sonya A. Brown (mayor), Tremaine Hobbs, Laymon Lightfoot and Nelda Washington as HFC directors. Council then approved resolution R-01-26 assigning officers and confirming customary staff roles for assistant secretary, general manager and assistant general manager.
Council also approved a $270,819.36 transfer into the HFC general fund from GHHFC CO Dev LLC and, separately, a resolution authorizing the HFC to donate that amount to the City of Glenn Heights. The city later accepted the donation as miscellaneous income to the general fund. The motions to approve the transfer and donation were moved, seconded and passed by voice vote.
