Tax & Zoning Director Stacey Swanson told the board that a floodplain ordinance update is required by SB 2027 and must be adopted by May 31, 2026. Swanson said the January zoning meeting will address the update along with a camping/campground ordinance review and a housing discussion, and she outlined the timeline for zoning and commission review ahead of the statutory deadline.
Swanson also reminded the public that the Primary Residence Credit application window is open Jan. 1–April 1 and that applications are submitted through the State. The board acknowledged the legally driven deadline for the floodplain ordinance and scheduled review steps through the zoning board and commissioners to meet the May 31 deadline.
