Price County outlines 2026 road projects; WisDOT bids for state work due in March

WisDOT is scheduled to put state project bids out in March 2026; committee members were told there are no state highway projects expected in Price County until 2029, when work is forecast for Hwy 70 and Hwy 8. The committee also discussed potential bridge work in the Towns of Worcester and Ogema and noted County Hwy N might not see work before 2027.
Committee members discussed a pending grant application for work on Hwy D and spring pulverizing plans for county roads. Commissioner Roger Petrick said county road projects are generally kept around $2–3 million in total for planning purposes.
