SCA says $2 million raised to resurface SCAT park entrance; master plan for Williston Industrial Park completed

Tyson Jackson, project manager with the South Carolina Alliance, told Barnwell County Council on Jan. 13 that SCA has secured $2 million to resurface the entrance road to the SCAT park, a route that has become a major trucking corridor.
Jackson said SCA also addressed a drainage problem around the CSX rail spur by clearing ditches and debris, and that SCA is completing a deal on the last 30 acres of property with rail access to the SCAT park. He added that the master plan for Williston Industrial Park requested by the county has been completed and handed to the Barnwell Economic Development Committee for consideration.
