Vernon County Board adopts 2026 2028 Long-Range Plan

The Vernon County Board of Supervisors adopted the Vernon County Long-Range Plan 2026 2028 on Oct. 16, 2025. Administrative Coordinator Hannan presented the plan, saying it was developed over two planning sessions and informed by a county-wide survey. Supervisor David Eggen moved to adopt Resolution 2025-53 and Vice-Chair Will Beitlich called the question; on a voice vote those present voted in favor and the resolution was approved.
The plan establishes a Mission, Vision, Values and Virtues framework and identifies priority lists the county will use for rebranding and future decision-making. "The Mission, Vision, Values and Virtue statements are being used as part of the rebranding effort," Hannan told the board. Committee chairs and staff will be tasked with implementing the plan through standing committees, and supervisors were told priority lists may expand as projects are scoped.
The adoption does not in itself authorize specific projects or appropriations; standing committees and staff will prepare implementation steps and bring funding or ordinance requests back to the board for consideration. The board is scheduled to review additional implementation materials in committee and at future meetings.
