Board approves bills totaling $1.27 million, designates FOIA coordinator and authorizes grant applications

The board approved Post Approved Bills of $1,268,303.28, General Fund bills of $179,629.07, and payroll runs including Payroll #16 ($208,029.14), Payroll #17 ($205,486.54) and Payroll #18 ($203,067.38). Commissioner Jeff Sieting moved the approvals; Commissioner Truman Bicum supported them and the motions passed by consensus with no recorded opposition.
Commissioner Sieting also moved to approve Resolution 2024‑40 (an EGLE Materials Management Plan Notice of Intent) and to designate the County Administrator/CFO as Kalkaska County’s FOIA Coordinator; both motions passed by consensus. Commissioners authorized the Conservation Resource Alliance to apply for the 2024 DNR Fisheries Habitat Grant Program on behalf of the county, and the board approved waiving BOC travel policy to reimburse up to $225 for the Register of Deeds to attend the MARD annual conference.
