Commissioner Terence Frewen moved the contract approval; Commissioner Scott Wirtz supported the motion and the board carried the motion by voice vote. Road Department Director Linda Pigue presented the need for inspections and recommended contracting with Scott Engineering.
The board’s action follows discussion of multiple bridge concerns earlier in the meeting, and commissioners asked staff to return with additional information on specific repair needs at a future meeting. The approved inspection contract is intended to provide the engineering assessments needed to inform any subsequent repair work.
