County approves approach permit and routine road maintenance work; considers GPS tracking for equipment

Ben Tohm requested and the board approved an approach in Hamerly Township (NE1/4 of Section 15) that will be 80 feet wide with an 18‑inch culvert; the motion was moved by Commissioner Haman and seconded by Commissioner Hansen. Sean Mattern, Road Supervisor, told the board crews have been tarring road cracks on County Road 1 and will work on CR 3, 9 and 4.
Mattern presented information on GPS tracking capabilities for county equipment and reported an estimate from Nett's Electric to replace three heaters at the Mohall Shop for $4,282.00, which the board approved. The board also authorized installation of a 35 mph sign on the west access into Mouse River Park and accepted a culvert/bridge supply bid from True North Steel at the publicly opened bid session.
