Renville County Road Supervisor Sean Mattern informed the Board of County Commissioners on May 5 that the road crew has begun a four 10‑hour day schedule and has been using a retriever on gravel county roads. Chairman Andy Gates asked Mattern to take recycled materials to the Mouse River Park church road and to place gravel at the park’s South Campground area.
The board made no formal appropriation during the discussion but recorded the operational direction. The items were handled as routine department requests during the May 5 session and recorded in the minutes as instructions to the road supervisor. An itemized list of county road expenditures for May appears in the auditor’s claim records filed with County Auditor LeAnn M. Pollman.
