One nearby resident who shares a driveway with the property voiced concern that more ground‑floor businesses could increase parking pressure and local congestion; staff and the applicant said site circulation and parking have been considered in the revised project conditions and the project would retain a 16‑room hotel use as primary.
A council motion finding the request reasonable and consistent with the comprehensive plan passed unanimously.
