Emergency Management introduced the Integrated Preparedness Plan (IPP), which aims to bring all community levels into coordinated planning, and asked committee members to identify hazards they have encountered that could be mitigated through planning, equipment, exercises and training. Staff said a survey will be distributed to gather additional input from members and stakeholders.
During discussion members cited specific response considerations, including materials used to contain gasoline leaks at a station, as an example of the kinds of hazards and mitigation techniques IPP planning should address. The IPP will be developed using survey responses and will guide training and exercises across jurisdictions.
