Staff described five complete bid packages for the county’s 2026 asphalt preservation contract covering three crack-seal products and application/labor prices. "These bids are for the application of 3 different types of crack seal products...There are 3 materials for each bid and a price per ton for each of those," staff explained, then listed the submitting firms: Bonneville Asphalt, Superior Asphalt, Morgan Pavement, M and M Asphalt Services, and Paradigm Asphalt Experts.
Staff said the county aims to have cracks sealed across all 250 miles of paved roads within five years and that county crews will supplement contractor work. Commissioners acknowledged the five submissions, appointed staff (Daniel Luke/Commissioner Jensen) to review them, and passed the acknowledging motion by voice vote.
