County honors two sheriff's deputies as employees of the month

The Carbon County Board of Commissioners recognized two sheriff's deputies as employees of the month.
Kelly Payne introduced James Perry (employed since 07/08/2024) and Michael Perry (employed since 05/01/2016) for the county's employee recognition. A sheriff's supervisor praised James for thorough investigative reports and noted his Spanish-translation support for interagency cases.
Sergeant Garrett Safely described a March incident in which deputies James and Michael Perry investigated a suspicious vehicle, engaged in a high-speed pursuit that exceeded 100 miles per hour, and helped secure an arrest that produced 17 counts against the offender. "These gentlemen had never been involved in a high speed pursuit ... and they were alone and together and handled themselves fantastic," Safely said. The board thanked the deputies for their work.
