Committee consensus approved Resolution 2024-36 to lift the hiring freeze so the Commission on Aging (COA) Director can fill Intake Specialist and Volunteer Coordinator vacancies, and approved Resolution 2024-37 to allow filling of the Nutrition Services Coordinator vacancy. Administrator David Schaeffer presented the requests and noted COA needs.
Separately, the committee approved a $2.00 per hour Registered Nurse wage increase for COA positions following a wage-comparison provided by Magee. Committee also approved COA Director to proceed with tree removal at an estimated cost of $4,775.00 per a quote from Unlimited Outdoors LLC dated 8-2-2024.
