Commissioners advance multiple Road & Bridge projects, approve cost allocations and transfers

The board agreed that a prior offer to landowner Jake Estvold used non-cropland valuation in error and directed staff to offer $4,500 per acre for CR10 easement on property taxed as commercial pending zoning paperwork; the motion passed. For CR10 Phase II (Project 10(51)23) the board approved Alternative 1 — a 50-year right-of-way permit plus a proposed temporary construction easement to address impacts to U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service land.
The board approved a final cost allocation of $2,943,818.75 for the 41st St NW Project UO(41)22 (total project cost $3,921,863.79; $978,045.04 to be paid by Road & Bridge funding). The minutes record multiple transfers between Capital Projects and Road & Bridge funds for several projects (example transfers listed in the minutes range from tens of thousands to multimillion-dollar allocations). The board also approved preliminary engineering with Sauber Engineering to evaluate paving the gravel portion of CR2 (Old Highway 2) from Palermo to Blaisdell as part of the 2025 priorities.
