Mountrail, Burke discuss sharing a State’s Attorney office after retirement

The joint proposal would consolidate staffing into two full-time positions shared across counties; Amber Fiesel would need to be a candidate in both counties in the 2026 election cycle if the arrangement proceeds. The board agreed to continue discussion and did not take formal action at the Dec. 3 meeting.
