Commissioners approve major Road & Bridge change orders and final payments, advertise CR11 bid

Road & Bridge Engineer Jana Hennessy and HDR engineer Craig Mizera presented multiple project updates on Nov. 19. For CR 9 Phase II the board approved balancing change order #2 reducing the Martin Construction contract by $2,309,408.20 and approved Martin Construction’s final pay application of $1,232,939.83; both motions passed unanimously.
For CR 10 East (#10(51)23) the board approved a $445,876.68 increase (change order #2) and a balancing decrease of $397,862.94 (change order #3) to the Baranko Brothers contract and approved its final pay application of $849,479.25. The board also authorized advertising for bids for CR 11 Reconstruction (about 6.1 miles from CR10/53rd St NW north to 59th St NW). In addition, the board approved signing certifications of local match and paying NDDOT $660.34 for bridge inspection (Project #BRC-0099(012)) and $68,936.23 for the 2023 chip-seal project (Project #SC-3100(023)).
