Road & Bridge Engineer Jana Hennessy and Sauber Engineering's John Sauber presented appraisal results and design alternatives for CR1 Project #01(62)23. The board approved design Alternative B1, which reconstructs Segment A to a paved county major collector standard and Segment B to a gravel county major collector standard.
The board approved right-of-way payments related to CR1: Mark Myers $25,338.27; Juli & Iris Eckman $17,986.51; Iris Eckman $29,703.02; Juli Eckman $4,317.02 (those larger acquisitions passed with Commissioners Rice, Olson, DeGroot and Ruland voting yes and Commissioner Hollekim voting no). A separate acquisition for Bock Eckman of $16,433.50 was also approved. The decisions included project schedule and design notes; commissioners asked that tentative dates be removed to avoid committing funds before funding is secured.
