Board reviews equipment inventory, insurance claim, heater repairs and stipend distribution

Assistant Chief Cody Armbrust told trustees he has compiled a list of equipment values (excluding trucks and grass units) for the district’s three stations to support updates to NDIRF insurance coverage. To test the claims process, Cody said he is submitting a claim for a chainsaw deemed damaged or lost.
He also reported about half of the Fairfield Station heaters were not operating and that Martin's is scheduled to repair them in the coming week. Separately, staff reported incident stipend checks are being signed and distributed; a page outlining the Years of Service Plan benefit will be included with the stipend communications and Chief Shockley circulated that page to board members for review.
