Caleb Riley addressed the commission seeking a 12‑month extension of a previously approved development order so he can place a manufactured home on his property on Coburg Road. Riley described recent injuries to his spouse and his own work and financial constraints that have delayed financing and placement: "We just haven't been able to afford one here lately ... I started a new job in March, so it takes at least a year on a job to be able to get financed."
Planning staff told the board the staff recommendation had been to deny due to elapsed time, although the planning commission recommended approval. After discussion commissioners expressed sympathy and cautioned that further extensions would be limited; one commissioner said if evidence of progress is not shown after 12 months they would be unlikely to extend again. The board voted to approve the 12‑month extension by voice vote.
