Resident submits materials to Comptroller and asks commission to clarify county ethics complaint process

County Mayor Brooks responded that the formal procedure will be updated on the county website so ethics complaints can be added and routed to the appropriate Ethics Committee members. Goins noted that, based on recently passed legislation, the county must have a functional Ethics Committee process in place by January 1, 2027.
What happens next: County administration said it will revise and publish a formal complaints process on the county website and coordinate with the School Department and relevant committees as needed.
