Board Member Jack Lytle nominated Tippets and moved to accept him as chairman; Board Member Randy Asay seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to approve the nomination.
The election came during routine business at the meeting, which convened at 9:28 a.m. and adjourned at 9:48 a.m. The record shows the motion carried with affirmative votes from Tippets, Lytle and Asay. The board did not hold a closed session and had no additional leadership nominations during the meeting.
