County staffing change and board representation noted; CARD schedules August meeting

Kristen Schreckover (county health department) said she had no new updates and noted a vacancy on the county assignment to CARD; she also reported that the county administrator is retiring and Derek Jackson will serve as interim while a nationwide search proceeds. She offered to bring forward a presentation to the county board to reestablish CARD representation.
Jack Heaton closed the meeting and set the next quarterly CARD meeting for August 4 at 6 p.m. Participants discussed short-term follow-up (a half-hour Zoom meeting) to define next steps and possible student interns from the University of Michigan to help compile a summary of recent work. No formal votes beyond minutes approval were taken at the close.
