Tai Chi Bubble Tea opens second New Rochelle location with city and federal officials in attendance

Tai Chi Bubble Tea opened its new New Rochelle location on a spring afternoon with remarks from city and regional leaders and a presentation by the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce. Catherine White, executive director of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the crowd and introduced the mayor, a congressman and other local officials to mark the ceremony.

Mayor Yadira Ramos Herbert thanked the owners for choosing New Rochelle, noting the location is the owners' second business and offering municipal support: "whatever we can do to make sure that you stay open, you let us know because you're important to our community," she said. Congressman George Latimer said the shop expands dining choices and can draw customers from neighboring communities, helping New Rochelle's economy grow.

Co-owner Aaron described the shop's Bronx origins and early neighborhood embrace, pointing to a small "thank you note" corner in the store as evidence of community support. "Our hope is simple, that this becomes more than just a place to grab a drink or meal, that it becomes a place where friends meet, families relax, students recharge, and neighbors feel at home," he said. Ken, speaking for Tai Chi corporate, framed the brand as New York–born and expanding nationally and thanked franchise partners for bringing the location to life.

The ceremony included brief remarks from chamber representatives and concluded with a short celebratory cue that preceded the ribbon-cutting and reception. No formal city actions or votes occurred during the event.
