New Rochelle council approves minutes and adopts consent agenda without discussion

The New Rochelle City Council approved the minutes from its Jan. 20, 2026 regular meeting and its Feb. 10 committee-of-the-whole session and adopted consent-agenda items 2 through 11 at its March 2026 legislative meeting. The Chair called the roll, asked for a motion and second on the minutes, and then put the question to the council.
"All in favor say, aye," the Chair said as the council approved both sets of minutes and then moved to the consent agenda. Council members recorded in the roll call and the meeting transcript include Lopez, Taryn Tina, Peters, Austin Laye, Kaye and Stern. The Chair called the vote on the consent agenda after a motion and second were noted (motion/second cited as Kaye and Asha and Loye in the record), and there was no opposition recorded on the audio record.
The council did not discuss individual items on the consent agenda during the public session. The meeting later proceeded to two resolutions and then to an executive session on personnel.
