HCA CIO reports steady progress on Benefits24/7 sync-file and API work; migration to wa.gov planned

Travis Cherry, the Health Care Authority's chief information officer, briefed the board on Benefits24/7 modernization. He said the team has "identified and resolved 10 additional bugs" since the previous meeting, bringing the cumulative total to 19 resolved sync-file deficiencies, and outlined next steps: separate sync files for enrollment and accounting and continued API development for enrollment endpoints.
Travis also described a migration plan from SecureAccessWashington (SAW) to WA login (wa.gov) and said vendor outreach and communications planning are underway with implementation currently projected for approximately spring 2027. He cautioned that the sync-file work is foundational and that changes can have cascading effects, calling that risk a primary concern for the program.
