The Roscommon County Board of Commissioners opened its Jan. 28 meeting with presentations recognizing long‑time county employees. Chair presented a “certificate of appreciation” to Judge Mark D. Jernigan for 25 years of service; the chair noted Jernigan’s earlier work in the prosecutor’s office. "This certificate is presented to our award, Mark D. Jernigan," the chair said during the recognition.
The board also presented certificates to Megan Curley for 10 years of service and to Stephanie from the animal shelter. Commissioners and staff posed for photographs and offered brief remarks of thanks. The recognitions were ceremonial and did not require or prompt any board action at that time.
