Jackson and administration staff described short-term responses that included mobilizing the MSSI outreach unit to provide on-site services and temporarily rehousing four families (some placed in hotels). The county plans a public-education campaign coordinated with Environmental Health, the Racial Equity Office and the Resiliency Office to reduce future clogs and inform residents about proper disposal practices. Commissioners and the administrator said the county will continue monitoring and pursue longer-term infrastructure and communication work.
