Police invite public to National Night Out at City Center Park Aug. 4

"You can come dunk an officer," Wilson said in an upbeat invitation, and staff said the fire department will help warm water early in the day to keep the dunk tank usable.
Council members suggested outreach to school counselors and Wasatch Behavioral Health to ensure clinicians and students who may be nervous about police presence can attend in a friendly setting; staff said Wasatch Behavioral Health has committed to set up a booth and invite clinicians. The event is a recurring community‑engagement opportunity and staff requested council attendance and help publicizing the event to neighborhoods.
