Board reappoints county officials, medical examiners and planning members

During the Jan. 2 meeting the board reappointed a set of county officials to multi‑year terms. Motion by Graettinger, second by Merrill, re‑appointed Tim McCain as Palo Alto County Tax Agent for 2026. The board reappointed Jeff Stillman to the Planning & Zoning Board of Adjustment with a term to Dec. 31, 2028, and Jeff Reichter to the County Conservation Board for a five‑year term ending Dec. 30, 2030.
The board also reappointed medical examiners for a two‑year term ending Dec. 31, 2027 — Dr. David Ruzicka, Dr. Daunyale Sporaa, Dr. Jason Patton and Dr. Obidike Nwadike — and reappointed Shelly Schmitt to the Civil Service Commission representing the county attorney with term expiring Oct. 1, 2031. All motions were carried unanimously.
