Cleveland County corrections council accepts chairman Dave Stockwell’s resignation

The Cleveland County Community Corrections Planning Council voted Jan. 14, 2025, to accept the resignation of Chairman Dave Stockwell. The motion, made by Commissioner Jacob McHughes and seconded by Stockwell, passed with six affirmative votes from council members present.
The minutes record the vote as: Dave Stockwell, yes; Jacob McHughes, yes; Pam Howlett, yes; Jerrod Cooper, yes; Gary Gage, yes; Josh Hinkle, yes. Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Austin was tasked to coordinate with the District Attorney’s office on the appointment of a new chairman.
The council conducted routine business before and after the resignation vote and adjourned at 8:44 a.m. There were no public comments at the meeting.
