Cleveland County commissioners re-elect Rod Cleveland as chairman; McHughes named vice-chair

The Cleveland County Board of County Commissioners re-elected Commissioner Rod Cleveland as chairman during its Jan. 6, 2025 meeting and selected Commissioner Jacob McHughes as vice-chair. The motions were approved unanimously: Rod Cleveland, yes; Ronny Fulks, yes; Jacob McHughes, yes.
The votes were taken as part of routine organizational business shortly after the meeting convened at 1:00 p.m. in Meeting Room 200 of the Cleveland County Office Building. Jacob McHughes moved to re-elect Cleveland as chairman; Ronny Fulks seconded. McHughes was then elected vice-chair in a separate motion, also approved unanimously. The board conducted no roll-call debate on either position.
