Detective Brent Jex of the Tremonton‑Garland Police Department requested a fee waiver for a March 21, 2026 fundraiser to support fallen officer families and to send ten deputies to the National Peace Officer Memorial in Washington, D.C. The Commission approved the use of the fairgrounds with a fee waiver. Jex told commissioners they were "trying to raise $72,000.00" for the effort.
