Bryan County commissioners approve monthly minutes, purchase orders and wide-ranging appropriations

The Bryan County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously May 11 to approve the April meeting minutes and a Solid Waste Grant covering Districts 1, 2 and 3 after motions by Commissioner Justin Boone and seconded by Commissioner Scott Goad. Commissioners Scott Goad, Justin Boone and Chairman Brandon Carr recorded unanimous affirmative votes on each action.
In the same session the board approved a slate of appropriations across county funds, including $51,311.82 to Highway Roads & Bridges, $460,671.45 to Highway operations, $151,498.71 to Rural Fire Department support and a $59,062.48 allocation to the Resale fund. Other approved allocations included $50,486.18 to the Sheriff Revenue Fund, $31,659.86 to CBRI and multiple smaller line items; the transcript lists many fund amounts in the record. The board also approved Purchase Orders for payment by unanimous vote.
